Described as a poet of our time Nairobi is a published writer, academic editor and a passionate performance poet. She has written and performed for Baroness Doreen Lawrence, Carmen Munroe MBE, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan and Lord Ouseley. She is the poet in residence for the Windrush Foundation, the Equiano Society and is the BBC East regional Poet.
Nairobi has her own brand of interactive One Woman Show and we are proud to host ‘Bayonets, Mangoes & Beads: African Diasporic Voices of WWI & WWII’. This show is stuffed full of interesting facts and amazing poetry that is brought to life by Nairobi’s talent for riveting storytelling, and it was given 100 out of 100 by The British Blacklist (TBB)
