On Wednesday 29th March 2023, Evelyn Forde MBE, an Investing in Diversity alumni, and Rosemary Campbell-Stephens MBE will be hosting an in-person celebratory event to mark the 20th anniversary of the leadership programme Investing in Diversity (IiD), which between 2003-2011, changed not just the face, but the heart of school leadership across London.
The celebration will take place, at Copthall School in Barnet arrival from 5.15, for a 6.00pm start – with a view to finishing by 9.00pm.
The event is primarily to do two things, firstly acknowledge and celebrate the extraordinary team of IiD tutors who over eight years tutored, mentored, coached and supported 1000 teachers through the programme at the Institute of Education, University College London.
And secondly celebrate the incalculable contribution that these Black and Global Majority school leaders went on to make to London schools in the ensuing 20 years by launching our commisioned research led by Professor Paul Miller, another Investing in Diversity alumni.
This is a Global Majority event so, as well as some interactive presentations, and story sharing by the people who were there audience participation will be the sweet spot of the evening.
Expect to reconnect, make new connections, and establish the research arm of Investing in Diversity, over food and music, as is our way.
All are welcome, we look forward to celebrating with you.
Please book your tickets, as places are limited.
